Here is today's bombshell. I spoke to Rob this morning, and in three weeks he is relocating to Santa Monica -- all expenses paid by a studio (he didn't tell me which one, darn it). They are providing him with a house and office, and he is hiring a staff. He's going to be out here permanently, and I don't know if Bill Hicks is coming with him or staying to man their Florida operation.
In the ‘James Bond’ books and movies, SPECTRE is the evil organization of world super villains and leaders that have run amok. They build huge engines of destruction in order to manipulate the climate, economies, and the world. In real life, they do exist...not by that or any actual name, but they are out there, working everyday to undermine positive change and progress in society. Rather than earth-shattering, sweeping evil, they instead work as rats do in the infrastructure of a house, chewing on the foundations and destroying the living space.
A lot of new producers were coming into our lives. Some of them would stay, some would return at a later date. Some, like Andreas Gruenberg and Daniel Zuta, were fortunately far away and likely to remain so.
One of the producers to cross our path was Norm Swain; he would actually remain in contact with us for some time. I received this note from him on the 23rd.
We were thrown off the merry-go-round again. One more time, all this work on the part of all these people who weren’t being paid, and it still wasn’t good enough. Daniel Zuta had clearly been a mistake as a potential Managing Producer; thusfar he hadn’t done anything at all, so apparently it was a good thing we never signed a contract with him.

Bill and Rob;
May 19, 2008
Everyone started to believe Rob was actually going to pull it off, this time. Even Ian, who had been m.i.a. for almost a month, returned in the middle of May from his self-imposed exile. It started with a letter from Scott to Ian.
It should have ended right there with Rob Simpson, and once more we could have saved an entire year of misery.
Mayday...not a day of spring flowers.
We are attempting to get a handle on where we are at in the funding process for GO WEST, YOU IDIOT! and THE DANGER CLUB.
Rob: Owen told me a couple of days ago that he sent you some paperwork to review for a possible collaborative funding with Rushlight.

Dear Go West Team;
We had a surprising development this morning. I spoke by telephone to Ian Christensen, Vice President of Pure Touch Media, whom I met through Film Gravity. This is our second conversation -- the Pure Touch studio facility is in Phoenix, Ariz (you can see all this at their website) and Ian has relocated to Hollywood to start building a facility there.
