This article was a condensation from the book I wrote with Sandra Brandenburg entitled GODDESS COUNTRY VISIONS: Visionary Artists of Northern California. Unfortunately it was too expensive to publish, even when two publishers teamed up to do it. Some of the biographical segments have been published individually.

This was one of my first published articles as a feature writer for THE ARGUS COURIER, an excellent little newspaper in Petaluma, California. I wrote for them for several years before the newspaper started its downward spiral of being bought out, changed and eventually eliminated.
